The lake is perfect for paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming or fishing (bluegill of course and bass) and is within ten minutes of all sports Otsego Lake and Big Bradford Lake if you want to ski, tube, or pontoon on a bigger lake. The Otsego Lake State Park beach is one of the best inland lake beaches in Northern Michigan and is right down the road as well as biking and hiking trails. Gaylord is 20 minutes away for all your shopping, golfing and dining needs. In the winter time, the snowmobile trails are within a half of a mile and skiing at Treetops and Boyne Mountain is fantastic. a good weather day trip to mackinaw city, mackinac island, sleeping bear dunes or to the up falls are also within reach as well as a bad weather day trip to traverse city or petoskey for casinos and shopping! either way if you’re looking to kickback and relax and do nothing or create an adventure filled northern michigan experience- the bluegill lake house will suit you just fine!
