welcome to our beautiful coastal completely renovated family home! we are sure that you and your loved ones will enjoy your stay here and adore our quintessential new england town as much as we do!
the village of marion has an easy and friendly vibe Of course, you can spend your time however you like. it's your vacation! but, just for fun, here is what one of your perfect days here could look like:
wake up with the sound of singing birds! go for a morning walk on lovely water street or do a little cardio, some yoga or weights in our fully equipped home gym Then, be your own barista and make a latte/espresso or choose from our selection of fine teas. Make a delicious breakfast in our state of the art kitchen and enjoy it alfresco on our private deck. Say a quick hello to Jack, Angela and the crew at our beloved Marion General Store as you pick up some goodies for your picnic at the beach. Or, pop into Kate's for a grilled sandwich, or power salad to go! Next, stroll , bike or pack up the car and head to our beautiful Silver Shell beach with your bathing suit, flip flops and towel. (We have bikes, beach chairs and towels for you PLUS - the quaint residents-only-beach is less than a half a mile down the road!) Enjoy the day relaxing with your toes in the sand and a good book or swim and play in the sparkling water while the boats in Sippican Harbor set sail with the warm breeze. After a full day soaking up the sun, head back to our Historic Ship Captain's home and take a long shower or a warm soak in one of our 4 beautiful, indoor, spa-like marble bathrooms or rinse off your sandy feet and take an outdoor shower in our private gated garden. (Our two large hot water tanks are hot water on demand so you'll never run out!) Spend the next few hours doing your own thing .Watch a movie on our frame TV or listen to music on our Sonos surround sound system, or play some cards, chess, scramble or backgammon on our game table or stroll into Mimi's for a little boutique shopping. (The owner Jill is as nice as can be and she has the prettiest collection of jewelry, summer styles and gifts for the home) We also have a big yard for playing catch or frisbee and feel free to set up the badminton net that's in the shed. After a little more play and down time, cook up some dinner on the grill (We have a drawer full of grilling tools for you to use and there is a fresh fish store down the street called J. McNaughton and Joshua will set you up) or walk to Cast for a delicious meal or grab a Pizza at Rose and Vicki's. After dinner, satisfy your sweet tooth with a short walk to Cottage Street and pop into Annie's (our local ice cream shop) for a cup or cone. To end the night, pour yourself a beverage and savor the day's memories by the fire-pit. Wind down and get cozy with the glow of the fire and the twinkle of the stars. (We have plenty of seasoned firewood on the property for you to burn and we have 6 comfy Adirondack chairs). turn down for the night and sleep comfortably with the sweetest of dreams!
