This 1920's prairie style farmhouse, with its original 9 1/2 foot ceilings and old pine floors has been carefully renovated to recapture the charm of a bygone era. You are first greeted by the charming front porch, perfect for relaxing and viewing the yard with its dozens of mature shade trees and surrounding fields.

guest room - john and hilda's room is 17 ft by 14 ft room offering a king size, antique walnut bed with a stearns and foster mattress, ceiling fan, and a quaint sitting area for two This is a second floor bedroom with 4 beautiful windows showcasing the lay of the farm land surrounding the lawn.
guest access - guests may park on the west side of the circle driveway for the nearest convenience to the front porch entrance You may enter the Bed & Breakfast by way of the front porch. Also you are welcome to sit on our large front porch in the morning to enjoy a cup of coffee or in the late evening to enjoy the stars, weather permitting of course.
our own restaurant - just down the road 5 miles and into higginsville, is our very own restaurant, red shanty bbq & roadside cafe, open wed and thurs, 11am to 9pm and fri and sat, 11am to 10pm (closes 1 hour earlier during the winter) The restaurant is available for dining in, taking out and catering.

Along the Missouri Scenic Byway 24 Hwy there are numerous orchards for purchasing your favorite fruits and vegetables, especially peaches in late July and August and apples in September and October.
