shelbyville is a quaint town of 5000 people tucked in central il between chicago and st Louis, MO. Visit Lake Shelbyville, a reservoir lake with 250 miles of protected shoreline and three awesome marinas with dining and boat rentals. Also, take a tour of the Army Corps of Engineers Visitor Center and Dam and do some fishing on the Kaskaskia River just on the other side of the Dam. We have a beach and recreation area several blocks away as well as a public pool and miles of beautiful wooded bike and walking trails. All of these activities are blocks from our home.
