KIMBLES FARMHOUSE is a cozy, spacious home that Kimble built from an old wooden corn crib with his own 2 hands. it is just 5 minutes from lake shelbyville, but out in the country where the views and the tranquility of the farm make it seem like you are in your own little paradise! it has 3 bedrooms that sleep a total of 9 people ( one of the bedrooms is a suite with a bath of its own, 2 sitting chairs and its own dining table), 2 full bathrooms, a large eat in kitchen, an adjoining dining room, an inviting living room for great conversations, a patio with a grill and seating to cook out and take in all the scenery, a laundry room with a washer and dryer, and plenty of parking for your boats, cars and trucks!
kimble's farmhouse sets on a beautiful hill in the middle of an 80 acre farm that kimble purchased in 1959 when he was just 19 years old
it is a working farm where guests can look down over the hillside and see a breathtaking view of the landscape, including cattle that sprinkle the hillside
there will be corn and bean plantings in the spring and corn and bean harvests in the fall on the farm
there is also a stocked fishing pond just 1/2 mile away for your fishing enjoyment You can either walk to the pond or there is parking at the pond if you would like to drive.
