there is plenty of private on-site parking available to guests staying at the lakehouse Please note that redevelopment works are currently being carried out at Raithwaite Hall. The Lakehouse is some way from the hotel so your visit will not be effected by the development, however you will need to drive along the estate road to get to the Lakehouse, which will take you through the development site. Whilst the road through the estate is sometimes dirty and there are some obvious signs of the redevelopment taking place at the hotel, once you pass through the gates to the Lakehouse, you will still have your own peaceful & private retreat.
please note there is a high retaining wall at the side of the property so we ask children to be closely watched at all times when in the outdoor area

the other side of whitby is full of narrow, mediaeval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.
step outside of whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.
