Positive: The house and location are great. We were 2 families, having enough bedrooms was a plus. The infinity pool is great to watch the waves and drink a beverage. Kitchen and dining are laid out nicely and easy to use. Beach- it isn't cleaned so there is trash & seaweed that washes up. It is not a sandy beach but if you bring water shoes, you can have a great time in the surf. Chef Florentino was great! Food comes out around $30 US/per person/meal. Excellent flavors and variety of homemade foods. Accommodated a gluten allergy without issue. We used his service 2 of our 6 days cooking for ourselves the rest of the time.
Negative: Then there is the maintenance. The power was out to the area when we arrived. Other properties have generators (it appears the power goes out often) this house doesn't. Nor do they have candles or flashlights. Thankful for phone flashlights! The power went off multiple times during the week, very frustrating. And--no power-no water. Doors- the patio doors don't lock- at all. We used a ratchet strap we brough to secure the doors at night. Safes didn't work either- probably due to power outages? Fortunately, other houses pay for security service and they walk by so this house gets a bit of a benefit. Housekeeping- says daily on the listing- it isn't. We were short beach towels for 2 days. Minimal paper towels in the kitchen, had to ask for trash bags, ran out of soap. Grill- nice grill but they don't provide charcoal- plan to purchase.
