this is one of w2's finest, historic neighborhoods and our home has a unique story Built in 1939, it was designed by Elizabeth Ayer. In 1921, Ayer graduated as both the fourth student to get a Bachelor of Architecture in UW’s history, in addition to being the department’s first female graduate! And that's not all, our yard was designed by landscape architects Elizabeth Lord and Edith Schryver. They were the first women in the Pacific Northwest to own and operate their own landscape architecture firm, designing over 200 landscapes and gardens in the region between 1929 and 1969. come visit our tranquil, park like yard, while sipping your new favorite wine!
