Positive: The bedlinen and towels were pristine. The king sized bed was very comfortable. The area felt safe. The host was good at communicating.
Negative: This property reminded us strongly of our Grannies’ homes, stuck in the 70s. Although the property was generally clean, the kitchen smelt very damp and we tracked that down to the cupboard under the sink, which needs attention. The bath hasn’t been well maintained, and the efforts at sealant were extremely messy, which gives a poor impression. Like a previous reviewer, we also had an issue with unlocking the front door, from the inside, which was obviously a safety issue. In the twin bedroom, one of the mattresses needs replacing, as the springs can be felt, although the other is fine. The step outside the conservatory is built from stacked paving slabs, covered with a doormat, which didn’t feel safe at all. All in all, we didn’t feel this was worth what was charged.
