this exquisite home was built in 1928 by the esteemed john worrilow, founder of lebanon steel co as a peaceful getaway for himself and his family Each room was artfully and intentionally designed by one of the architects for the Washington National Cathedral. From the elegant “Main Staircase” mirroring a favorite staircase at the Philadelphia Museum of Art to “The Worrilow Great Room,” a spacious living area modeled after the prestigious castle “Haddon Hall” of Derbyshire, England where “The Princess Bride” was filmed, complete with Italian carved molding and a marble fireplace....its not until you’ve meandered these historic spaces and explored the majestic grounds that you can truly soak in the history and charm of the Brasenhill Mansion.
