The Royal Docks is a quiet residential area steeped in London history, where merchant ships docked in the heyday of the English Empire and where the ‘Mayflower’ embarked for its famous voyage to America in 1620, approximately 800 yards from the apartment. Today the characteristic old warehouses have been transformed to designer apartments, surrounded by supermarkets, excellent restaurants, cafés and boutiques.
