Wintertime base for Nordic and alpine skiing (Craftsbury, Jay Peak, Burke Mtn.), and access to VAST trails. Unbeatable fall foliage. This home has it all! Summary: Amazing house in an amazing setting- it far exceeded our expectations! The setting was so peaceful, that we enjoyed just sitting on the deck or in the sun room reading, listening to the loons, or admiring the fabulous views. The house was equipped with everything you could possibly need, and the beds and living room furniture were very comfortable. My husband especially loved that he could "ask" the TV remote to find the channel or program he wanted. For two technologically-challenged seniors, this was a big plus. The lake was pristine and very inviting, although it was a little tough to navigate our way down the steps or short hillside because of our age. We managed to get in a few times, however, and I'm sure it would be no problem with younger guests. We enjoyed driving around the Northeast Kingdom, exploring the area and discovering beautiful vistas and quaint villages on the country roads. Thank you, Katie and Charlie, for being such great hosts and allowing us to use your beautiful house as the home base for a wonderful vacation. We'll be back!
