Summary: The house was spacious and in a beautiful location. That being said it was not well maintained. Several things that are usually in vacation rentals of this quality were missing - coffee filters, garbage bags, paper towels, dust pan… The house was also not well cleaned - dust, easily wipeable stains, food crumbs etc. If that had been the only thing we would not have posted a review, since we had already let management know. But a lot of things were broken or rickety. Two cabinets already had one broken hinge, the others felt as if they could easily break. The shower door downstairs did not slide properly. One of the two dishwashers did not work, the other had a dispenser that was not functioning. One microwave was not functioning. One of the French doors upstairs had a big crack in it, and.it felt like one wrong move might crack it entirely. The table was so rickety that it was impossible to lean on it while playing games…. Overall it was definitely not very child friendly. The steps to upstairs were not very safe for toddlers and there was a spot where a very nasty fall could have happened without a lot of climbing. The flimsiness of the cabinets and tables also was not well suited to children of any age. We have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals with children of all ages, and this one would be much better suited to adults and teenagers if the maintenance issues were taken care of.
