Adults can enjoy the relaxing setting while kids can safely explore the lakefront and surrounding forest, including a sledding hill in winter. Additionally, Tahoe Tavern offers visitors access to its private pier, the largest on Lake Tahoe, and in Summer a large swimming pool. Tahoe Tavern is private, not open to the public, and during peak months access is controlled by a gated entrance staffed by security guards.

Noise shall be minimized in order that it not be an unreasonable annoyance, disturbance or nuisance to neighbors.
lights out: all exterior lights that are not needed for safety must be turned off between the hours of 10pm-7am, seven days a week Per the Ordinance: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors.
red flag warnings: due to extreme fire danger, bonfires, charcoal barbecues and wood-burning fire pits are strictly prohibited On Red Flag Warning Days, when fire hazards are especially dangerous, typically due to dry conditions and high winds, additional restrictions are imposed by the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and prohibited. many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in tahoe/truckee and may be icy in the winter To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle.
