off the reception hall are the oak room and the formal drawing room, both with phenomenal carved oak fireplaces; the drawing room has a baby grand piano, so have a tinkle of the ivories after dinner, just like they did in victorian times A tiled inner hall leads to the main staircase, stunning in oak and wrought iron; look up and you’ll notice the ornate ceiling mouldings, all part of the historic character of this beautiful English country house.
