Positive: The apartment is excellent, modern and well equipped (dishasher, washing machine, shower, etc.). I was afraid the lack of air conditioning would be an issue, especially during August, but in the end the ventilators were enough. The neighborhood is great, with places where to ear and where to buy groceries. It also has plenty of parking space and a publich beach in the lake nearby. If you do not have a car, there is a bus stop on the street where you can catch a bus to Annecy.
Negative: - I had to struggle to find the right building, the right apartment and, especially, the garace's access (I lost at least 20 minutes struglling with Google maps to understand the right street to take). It is a pity because if the host sent the guests a simple map with clear indications, it would make things much easier for everybody (especially because there are so many reviews pointing this out). - The communication of the hosts seemed to be more focused on reminding me about my basic obligations (respect check-in and check-out time for instance) or to tell me very clearly that an early check-in would not be possible, rather than making things easier to me. A silly example: they told me that the apartment was on floor X... ok, and that there would be a key box on it. Ok, however, there was also a name on the apartment door, but they did not say this. So, once you get to the floor, you are really not sure if you are on the right door. Another example: they say that the building has a name Y, the problem is that it does not really help that much since the name is not displayed clearly anywhere. Finally, about the garage access, again, no comments. It is just such a waste of time, especially if you are saying for 1 night only. Another example on how the communication can be improved: they told me that the device for the garage was "inside the apartment". I had to message them on whatsapp to ask where exactly. I was then told that it was attached to apartment key. I do not get why this was not mentioned from the beginning. - One final thing: I've never seen such an uncomfortable sofa bed like that one before. It is simply impossible to sleep there. I don't know if it is broken or if I did something wrong, but it was definitely not possible to sleep. If you are a couple and two people maximum, no problem, because the room bed is great, but do not count with the sofa bed. Apart from this, I definitely recommend the apartment.
