Self Catering Holiday Cottage Near The Royal Sandringham Estate And Anmer Hall | Cottage in Dersingham

3 Bedroom Cottage in Dersingham
This sympathetically extended traditional carrstone and brick cottage has several original features including an open fireplace with woodburner. Sleeping up to 6 people, the spacious rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished and everything is provided for a relaxing holiday. There is a large enclosed garden and amply off-road parking for two cars. There are numerous attractions nearby. Sandringham House, Country Park, visitors centre, shop and restaurant are within walking distance (unfortunately up a pretty good hill but, of course, it's far easier coming back!). Also part of the Royal Sandringham Estate is the pretty hamlet of Anmer with Anmer Hall the country home of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Houghton Hall is a little further as is Heacham Lavender with Farmer Fred's Adventure Play Barn which is a great hit with our younger guests. Great Bircham Windmill is very interesting and has lots of events during the year. Also a great place for a cup of tea and homemade cake. You can also hire bicycles here. The nature reserves of Snettisham and Titchwell and the famous North Norfolk coast are only a short drive away as are Burnham Market, Hunstanton and the historic town of King's Lynn. Fakenham is the new home of Langham Glass, owned by our very good friends Paul and Sue Miller and family. A must to see glass blowing 'live' and they also have wonderful shop and cafe. Just outside Fakenham is the Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and Gardens. The village of Dersingham has pretty well everything - the Budgens supermarket has a good bakery and deli. E H Prior and Sons, an excellent local butcher, has a shop in the village. There is a post office, garden centre, pottery and several fast food outlets including a really good fish and chip shop just a little further along Manor Road. The Feathers Hotel and the Coach and Horses public house both serve good beer, wines and food. If you bring your dog along, there are plenty of walks off Heath Road just 150 yards away..
