From here, you can follow the coastal path to Seahouses (5.5 miles) to take a wildlife-spotting boat trip around the Farne Islands. Enjoy water sports and rock pooling at Beadnell Bay (8.5 miles) or take a scenic walk towards Low Newton-by-the-Sea (10 miles). For a memorable day out, cross the tidal causeway to Holy Island (15.5 miles) to explore Lindisfarne Castle. Alnwick Castle and Gardens (16 miles) also makes for a magical day out. Hikers and cyclists will be keen to plan routes through the Northumberland National Park (16 miles).
