weather travel advisory: we recommend carrying chains for your specific vehicle and tire size during the winter months or during any possibility of snow CalTrans will have Chain Checks and may not allow entry onto the mountain without them. Traveling past chain check without chains can be VERY dangerous. Most 4x4 vehicles are often allowed up without chains but CHP or CalTrans may ask to carry chains anyways as back-up. I am not responsible for guests not being prepared and turned away due to not having chains.
winter/summer power outages : please be aware during inclement weather (snow, wind, rain, freezing ,etc ) there may be power failures for extended periods of time This is out of my control.
