selfoss is a town with approx 6. 000 inhabitants. It is situated between Reykjavik and all major wonders in the south. The town offers a couple of supermarkets, fast food restaurants (KFC, Domino's), swimming pool, ATM machine, bank.

there is a good bus service from and to reykjavik The costs of a ticket amount approx. ISK 1. 600 (EUR 13). Also busservices to other areas leave from Selfoss.
getting around
the home is a good base for exploring the natural wonders along the south coast of iceland (for example geysir, blue lagoon, landmannalaugar, vik, thorsmork, etc)
