the setting is ideal for business professionals working in the area, as a base for extended vacations/family visits or an outdoor enthusiast in the blue ridge mountains Guests have stayed here while doing medical and other resident/internship work. I have hosted students working on thesis, grandparents visiting adult children and grandchildren. Some have been searching for a new home or renovating a home. It is a great place to write the book or create the piece of art you have promised yourself and has been used as a place of retreat, respite and renewal. The property and neighborhood is quiet for reflection, studying, preparing for business meetings, private phone calls, etc.
there is a resident cat, callie, who is quite independent and does love to be brushed She is an indoor-outdoor cat, who does not have access to the bedroom areas and has her own cat door to come and go.
guest room rental: you will have access to most areas in the house except for the master bedroom, master bath and a few closets You will have shared access to the gardens and grounds. The owner lives in the house and all outdoor space is shared.

Please bear with me if that is the case while you are visiting. Unless I am traveling, I will be in and out around the property, in the art studio and sunroom during some daytime hours and at night while you are staying here.
there is a library of books, puzzles, games to borrow, if you choose Wifi is included with Netflix, Prime Video and Apple TV available. There are small exercise weights, bands and other small items for stretching and fitness exercises. A yoga mat and pillow are available.
you can use my outdoor spaces and a little path in the woods for outdoor enjoyment of birds and nature! in season, you can pick and arrange a bouquet of flowers and greenery for your living area as well as use fresh herbs for cooking and eating You can walk to Garst Mill Park where there is a creek, paved path, Pickleball Courts. There is easy access to the Greenway, Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail as well as Rt 419, Rt 581 and Interstate 81. The Greenway offers biking, walking, fishing and other outdoor activity to be enjoyed.
