finally, to keep your children happy (and not only), you'll enjoy spending a few hours on one of the immense sandy beaches of marseillan-plage or la tamarissière: 10 minutes by car for the former and 20 minutes for the latter
young and old alike will be delighted to visit the dinosaur park (very educational), or go to the luna-parc in marseillan-plage.. a 15-minute drive away.
if you'd like to do a bit of sightseeing in the area, i'd recommend pézenas, the city of molière, 15 minutes away by car, the red earth of the lac du salagou, and the pilgrim's way to santiago de compostela at saint guilhem le desert via the pont du diable: all less than an hour away by car You can also visit Sète, the Camargue National Park, Carcassonne or the Cathar castles, Collioure... Rosas and Cadaquès in Spain are 2 to 3 hours away by car.
