piantini is santo domingo’s city center, it is the financial district, and it is where the best restaurants, bars, business centers and hotels are located This is the place to be! Most of our apartments are located here because of its convenient location and its safety. It is an area that is safe to walk during the day and uber is always easy to get. It is the most luxurious area in the entire city and it’s where everyone wants to live.
we recommend to use uber if you are going to move out of piantini, if you will go shopping you can walk to blue mall, acropolis, agora mall.

Summary: PROS: The apartment décor is as advertised. The apartment is nice, clean and in a secure building. The location is in a safe area and walking distance to many restaurants as well as the malls. CONS: When I arrived at check-in the front desk representative did not have my reservations. I attempted to contact the host Francisco at the local number he provided if there was any problems and he never answered. I then contact the VRBO 800 number and informed the representative that I had a confirmation booking was having problems checking in, and they too could not reach Francisco either. After waiting an hour luckily for me I decided to have my friend who was Dominican and spoke Spanish text the number that Francisco had initially provided me and someone responded immediately, stating they don’t have a reservation under my name and to send any communications through a rental pproperty company. my friend reply that I did not book through another company, i bookedeed on VRBO. At this time, the person responded sorry. I was then finally able to check-in. It should be noted that during this entire process, the person at the number Francisco provided me would never answer or respond to any calls I made from my USA cell. I highly, recommend you consider other properties unless the host is going to provide clients with a contact person that can be reached in case of an emergency. I was fortunate in this situation to have that I had a friend with me who spoke Spanish and local
