the kitchen has a two burner stove and oven that can hold a 9x13 pan Although we do not have running water, we do have a hand washing sink as well as a sink for washing dishes. We also provide you with plenty of water for your stay. We also have dishes, utensils, hot dog sticks, fry pie makers, pots and pans, a tripod grill for over the fire and a small charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal).
outside, we have a fire pit, wood to collect or for purchase and a hammock to fully enjoy your stay Our bathroom is an outhouse and has been described as the “cleanest outhouse in Michigan.” our latest addition is a rustic outdoor shower! we provide water which is heated by solar power (or you can heat some on the stove to hurry the process!)
within 1/4 mile is the st Joe River which is a great place for kayaking. We also have kayaks and quads for rent. We also have some short trails on the property and a rail road bed adjacent to the cabin area.
our cabin is powered by a small and very quiet honda generator It is super easy to start. The cabin’s main source of heat is a wood stove with wood we provide. An air conditioner is provided for the summer.
