the peaceful, one storey gîte 'les hirondelles' is surrounded by lawns and fruit trees, with views of the forest covered valley The wood clad building was inspired by the old tobacco barns in the region, and is closely situated to the pool and play area. Its terrace overlooks the orchard, with garden furniture and a BBQ, with lawns beyond for relaxing, playing and picnicking.
enter from the terrace through patio doors into a large kitchen / diner / lounge The open space has a bright and fresh atmosphere, while the beams and wood-burning stove make it cosy for a winter getaway.

domme is a tourist attraction in itself, being officially classed as one of 'the most beautiful villages of france' It offers a magnificent 180 degree view point across the Dordogne valley, a stalactite cave system with a glass lift looking out over the river, tours of the medieval gate towers which imprisoned the Knights Templars, and beautiful public gardens and footpaths around the ancient town walls.
