Positive: This property has been decorated to a high standard. AC in the bedrooms as well as the living area. Spotlessly clean. TV excellent.
Negative: This property is new to booking.com and has the potential to be fantastic. This could easily have been a review score of 9 or 10, but we feel that some policies need serious reviewing. Firstly, we have used booking.com for years and if linen and towels are not provided this is stated really clearly and with the hire charge (if appropriate) before the payment process. When we arrived and asked about these items we were informed that they are not included but could be hired for 10€. To be fair, these items are not listed on the facilities. But nor are pillows, duvets and toilet paper and they were all provided! The potential to hire linen and towels is not listed under additional facilities. Of the many properties we have used over the past two months, many do not specify linen and towels but even the cheapest accomodation provided them. Before discounts, this property is listed as €126, for that price I think linen and towels would be considered a basic. I imagine that the target market for this property will be the many cyclists on the EV6. They will not be carrying duvet cover, double sheets and pillow cases! We were left feeling that it was a sly way to charge more. As it was, we used our sleeping bags! Maybe booking.com need to provide clearer guidelines as to what hosts should list. Another detail that could only be found by reading all the property policies is that check in is at 5pm. Once you have booked this is presented clearly, but hard to find during the booking process ( maybe booking.com need to amend this). This is the latest check in time we have come across with most properties providing a 3pm or 4 pm check in. As it had been 37C we have been cycling from 6am to avoid the worst of the heat, we asked the host if it would be possible to check in earlier. We were offered a 2pm check in but for a fee of 50€. That was equivalent to about 70% of the nightly fee which seemed rather steep. We slept in the park for a couple of hours instead!!
