•white dawn cabin is licensed and inspected by the local health authority for vacation home rental The cabin naturally has higher iron in our fresh water supply. It is third-party tested and safe for our county short-term rental license. Seasonally, we have a plumber sanitize the water heater to reduce smell but it is safe rural well water, different than city water and has been used at the cabin since 1968. It may have natural iron reddish color in it, with a well water taste/ smell. If you prefer bottled water, please bring your own..

Summary: We recently stayed at this lakeside vacation rental, and while the setting was absolutely beautiful, we faced a couple of notable issues that impacted our experience. First, the positives: the location was stunning! Right by the lake, it offered breathtaking views and plenty of opportunities for swimming and kayaking. The cabin itself was cozy, well-decorated, and generally well-maintained. We enjoyed the spacious living area and the lovely outdoor deck. The owner remodeled but left some of the charm making the cabin modern/rustic. Fully equipped kitchen with almost everything you would need. There is great wifi and a smart tv and plenty of water toys for guests to use. However, we encountered a couple of significant problems. The hot tub, which we were really looking forward to using, was not usable during our stay. The host messaged us before our arrival that the hot tub was cleaned before our stay and that the water would be cloudy for a day. It was cloudy and almost green during our entire stay. Based on the hosts message, we kept thinking that it would clear up but never did. We did not contact the host because of their earlier message that set the expectation that it would get better. The other major issue was the well water that was not disclosed in the listing. Unfortunately, it had a strong metallic taste and a very unpleasant smell. The lakeside location and thethe cabin itself were wonderful, the gross hot tub and the well water were dissappointing.
