this is an early 1900s guesthouse in a lake community originally built for weekend retreats from the “big cities” of hartford and torrington Secret Lake was a community of weekend and summer retreats not far from traditional work places used by families in the early mid 1900’s as their get-away havens without complicated travel to far way lands. The home had a fairly low ceiling with a loft above which I raised upon purchasing. Other than that, the architecture is original. Come enjoy how life used to be in classic mid century American times.
