there are many fine restaurants in brownwood (about 7 miles) One of our favorites is Underwoods BBQ Cafeteria. But you won't be disappointed by Humphrey Pete's Steak House, Section Hand Steak House, Lemons' Bar-B-Q, Schlotsky's, China King, Chili's, Prima Pasta, Wing Stop, McAlister's Deli, Cotton Patch, Jeff's Burgers, The Turtle Restaurant and many more. Corina's has fine Mexican food and is located on Hwy 279 in the lake area. Also, Wild Duck Marina is just about a mile from the house and they have a great grill and frequently have live entertainment.
the hideout golf course is located at lake brownwood in the feather bay area just a few miles from the house It is a well manicured 18 hole course, sure to suit your fancy! And The Hideout Restaurant is located there. Several times a year the historic Lyric Theater has a play. Often these are attractive for children. Brownwood has a movie theater as well as a large swim complex and bowling alley. Fancy's Day Spa would be happy to book a spa appointment for you.
