Positive: The gîte is set in wonderful garden grounds in which we enjoyed playing games and the shared pool is lovely. The kitchen in the gîte was well appointed with a good oven / hob and washing machine and dishwasher which was very handy for us as a family. The area is pretty quiet but the bbq provided was well used! We enjoyed a day out at Ile de Re which is only just over an hour away.
Negative: Despite it being spacious, the lounge area is not very comfortable as both sofas are sofa beds and therefore quite hard & uncomfortable to sit on for long. We were surprised to learn that there was potentially a separate cleaning fee of over 100 Euro if we didn’t fully clean the gite ourselves - worth double checking if & when you book.
