It is just 300 yards from the beach, perfect for swimming or surfing and also for fishing. The Waterford Greenway [cycling and walking track] is just 200yards from the house. You can cycle / walk into Dungarvan town which is 3 miles away or just meander along the track , be careful this will take you all the way into Waterford city. on the way you will pass through tunnels and across viaducts build in the mid it's all on the website [ waterford greenway ]
from the heritage town of lismore, to the seaside resort of ardmore, the harbour at dungarvan and on to the geopark on the copper coast, west waterford has some of the most beautiful scenery in ireland The Comeragh Mountains range, with Mahon Falls is just a short drive away, is designated as an area of outstanding beauty, and is ideal for nature lovers and walkers with its beautiful waterfalls, woods and unspoilt lakes. Also the Nire Valley is very popular for hill walking. Just bring a picnic and enjoy nature at its best. For children there is a train from Kilmeadon to Waterford and back. Great fun.
