for people with a military interest, in particular of the us 83rd division, this location has a lot to offer The house was taken by the 330th and 331st regiments of the 83rd division of the US army around the 7th July 1944 during very heavy and brutal combat. To commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day on 7th June 2019 a memorial to the 83rd division was inaugurated 150m down the road from the house at the location of Calvary Cross of Hotot.
