please note: the fantastic views are partly due to the mountain's location Although the road to Emerald View Retreat is paved and in good condition, it can feel rather steep in some places, with tight turns. A good rule of thumb is to keep a steady momentum going up steep curves. Please use caution when driving, especially during inclement weather.
there are two ways up the mountain to access the cabin Although paved, the slightly shorter GPS default route can be rather steep/narrow. The other route is a little longer but overall less steep. Please refer to the info in the 'Check-In Instructions' before arrival. Please keep in mind in order to enjoy beautiful mountain views one must travel uphill unfortunately.
the driveway can accommodate up to two vehicles Guests can back up the driveway to exit to Glenview Way.
please note: the cabin sits a little lower than the driveway/parking area Walking down stairs is required to access the cabin. A light switch (top/bottom of starcase) and a motion sensor floodlight provide lighting at night.
there is an interior spiral staircase to access the downstairs Additional access to the lower level/lower deck is possible by walking down alongside the cabin; please use caution as there is a slope that could be slippery when wet.
