the holiday apartment is ideal for people who like hiking, cycling or want to get to know the "upper middle rhine valley" The Rheinburgenwanderweg (left bank of the Rhine) and the Rheinsteig (right bank of the Rhine) are ideal for hiking. The ferry in Niederheimbach/Lorch is within easy walking distance (1km), so that both sides of the Rhine can be explored without any problems. We recommend cycling along the cycle paths that run parallel to the Rhine. If you prefer something a little more hilly, you can let off steam in the Hunsrück and Taunus regions. Bacharach with its historic old town and various places to stop for refreshments is certainly worth a day trip. There are other places to stop for refreshments in Oberwesel (10 km) or Bingen (13 km), for example. In addition to visiting the many castles in the immediate vicinity, an excursion on the "White Fleet" is certainly recommended. The Loreley rock and the towns of Bingen and Rüdesheim are also worth a visit.
