this home was designed by prominent new york architect james gamble rogers who is best known for his academic commissions at yale university, columbia university, northwestern university, and elsewhere It was built circa 1929 by the Riegel Paper Company as an executive retreat. The interior was artfully constructed with raised panel molding, painted plaster walls and ceilings, a large masonry fireplace, decorative box beam ceiling and distressed oak flooring with cup head nails.
