Welcome to Mid-Coast Maine! Our island house has woodsy privacy, a lovely water view and access to our dock on the Sheepscot River...all within a 10 minute drive from Route 1. The path to the dock is steep, but we use it regularly and are in our 60s and 70s. Inside our house, we have a queen bedroom on the first floor and a double bedroom and a twin bedroom upstairs. We can privately sleeps 5 but a 6th space is available on a comfortable twin pull-out couch in our upstairs loft. We keep our fully equipped kitchen with oven, stovetop, microwave, toaster, coffee maker stocked with cooking basics like: olive oil, vinegar, spices, flour, sugar as well as tea and coffee . We have two full bathrooms and a washer/dryer if you need it.
our spacious deck overlooking the sheepscot river provides glorious views many birds live in our area - including a pileated woodpecker!
we provide a 2-person canoe, a single kayak and a 2-person sit-on-top type ocean kayak We also provide a charcoal grill with necessary grilling tools. Our yard is shady with grass for a good place to use our various balls, frisbees and even a corn hole game. We have our yard and periphery treated with an organic mosquito and tick repellent to help reduce these summertime pests.
