Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: An old house has its own special atmosphere and not often available. There is a wood burning stove which we discovered too late to use. The house is in the middle of a small town with lots of character, and it is no exaggeration to say this is the most attractive town in the area. We had a friendly greeting on arrival at the property. The price was very reasonable for the region.
Negative: We found the heating insufficient (March). In the bathroom there was no heating or window blinds for privacy. We received a flood of information before arrival which we didn’t need. Rather than eccentric furniture gathering dust such as sewing machine, huge bean bag and ancient exercise machine, a cupboard for clothes would have been preferred.
