Cosy and comfortable refurbished 1890’s Grade II listed cottage, set within two beautiful courtyards that form the quintessential Cotswold cottages of Ashwin Court. Clara has modern facilities but has maintained its charm with old traditional features, making you feel relaxed as soon as you walk through the door. Located in the historic village of Bretforton, on the edge of the North Cotswolds, home to the award winning National Trust owned The Fleece Inn (5 minutes walk).
clara cottage is a semi-detached property situated within beautiful twin courtyards The stable door entrance opens into an open plan living room, dining room and kitchen.
the living spaces comprise of a well equipped kitchen, dining area with seating for four (including a highchair), cosy living room with two bucket chairs and sofa with footstool WIFI, a flat screen SMART TV. You can sign in to your own Netflix account or other apps - just remember to sign out ;).DVD player, DAB radio with Bluetooth to play your own music. Games and DVDs for children and adults are available and a few books to read. The cottage also benefits from a dishwasher and washing machine.
stairs lead up from the living area to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms:
master bedroom: a light and airy bedroom, with front window over-looking the main courtyard and a feature window looking over the staircase (adding to the lightness of the room) There is a king size bed with Harrison Spinks mattress, small set of drawers (which can also be used as a dressing table), and wall hooks for hanging clothing.
second bedroom: the room comprises of a double bed with memory foam mattress, small set of drawers, a velux style sky light with blackout blind and wall hooks for hanging clothes
bathroom: a contemporary bathroom suite with a shower over the bath
the property benefits from an allocated parking space within the car park to the rear of the courtyards, in addition to separate additional overflow parking spaces Beyond the car park are landscaped communal gardens, with benches inviting alfresco dining and rotary washing lines for drying laundry (pegs provided). Additionally there is a picnic bench style seating to the rear of the cottage itself that is exclusively for Ashwin Court Cottage Guests.
if you are travelling with babies or young children, there is a travel cot with bassinet (please bring your own bedding), high chair, babybath, changing mat, childrens utensils/plateware, bedguard, toilet seat and stool all available for your use we understand little people have a lot of stuff! hopefully this means there's a little less to worry about or pack!
all towels, linen, toilet roll, hand wash, dishwasher & laundry tablets and hand sanitiser are provided

the cottage is located in the historic village of bretforton, located on the edge of the north cotswolds, with a range of facilities including the award winning national trust owned the fleece inn, famous for their ales, ciders and fantastic food (6 minutes walk) There is also a theatre/restaurant at Bretforton Grange. The nearest town is Evesham & its amenities are 4 miles away. The Cotswold & its Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty are a 10 minute drive away. Shakespeare's Stratford 14 miles, historic Worcester 20 miles. There are good London links from train stations at Evesham, Honeybourne & Moreton. The village also benefits from a community shop, full of essential items and tasty treats and for local farm shop goodies, Chadbury Farm Shop (8 minutes) has a great café (highly recommended for breakfast) and store for local produce including a delicatessen.
being so close to the cotswolds, you have access to a wide range of activities such as walking, sight-seeing, cycling and shopping In addition, there are many family friendly venues close by such as “All Things Wild” (Honeybourne, 6 mins drive), "Evesham Light Railway" (The Valley, 7 mins drive) "Cotswold Farm Park” (Guiting Power, 25 mins drive) and “Birdland” (Bourton-on-the-Water, 30 mins drive) and of course Cheltenham Spa (30 minutes) for horse racing, shopping and pampering.
