welcome to "the big house" at apple blossom farm We are the only home in the entire area that offers a year-round heated indoor pool! Best in Gettysburg for Amenities! Embark upon a half-mile driveway adorned with organic apple trees and friendly deer as you head back to sheer bliss. The Big House is located in Gettysburg prestigious wine and orchard country just a quick 10 minutes to downtown Gettysburg allows you and the family to enjoy nature yet be close to all the action. Secluded and quiet – yet, practically next door from golf, shopping, restaurants, skiing, antiques, and lots more. The farm encompasses 30 acres of privately owned property where the air is cleaner. This is a retired apple orchard and with that comes agricultural pests i.e. stink bugs during certain times of the year. Sit on your private balcony that overlooks the pastures where you can watch horses, miniature donkeys, Highland cow, pygmy goats, deer, and wild turkeys plus many more animals.

Centrally located to Gettysburg, Ski Liberty, four vineyards, three golf courses, and two national parks all within a 15-minute drive.

If that’s not enough take a dip in a full size HEATED (82) indoor pool. Yep, no matter what time of the year you and your family can relax day or night in your own private 2 story indoor heated pool. The pool room hosts a dry bar, spiral stairwell to the upstairs great room, seating, pool floats and toys, and many more pleasantries. The Pool floor has been epoxey textured coated. No running in pool area. The pool is heated however the room is not. The room does warm up when the pool is uncovered.

the big house is perfect for friends getting together or bringing the family together for a wonderful relaxing vacation
this rental is not a place to invite other family and friends that are not staying in the rental The home is not a venue to host gatherings in our outside of the rental.
while your on the farm enjoy spending time with our rescue farm animals All are friendly and fun to interact with 2 horses, 2 pygmy goats, 2 barn kitties, 40 chickens, ducks, geese, 1 Highland yearling, and Donkeys! Its like having a petting zoo at your disposal. Children enjoy helping feed the animals daily. Our 16 year-old son does sell treats for the chickens, horses, donkeys. and goats located just inside the front door.
we do accept dogs for a $150 flat fee per dog no cats!
the rental and property are treated for fleas and ticks We also in between each guest have a crew that comes in with black lights to check over all carpet and floors for any pet accidents The day of checkout. Any areas are immediately sanitized and deodorized.
the home is located out in the country That means there are field mice. We do exterminate quarterly however The home cannot be hermetically sealed off. At certain times of the year there will be stink bugs as they are an agricultural pest. They are completely harmless and we do spray for them.
