this is a perfect place to stay while visiting center hill lake, edgar evins state park, cummins falls state park, burgess falls state park, caney fork river, tennessee tech university, leeric lodge and resort, the monarch wedding and event venue or the delmonaco winery - all about 20 minutes away Downtown Baxter (10 minutes) has a train station, coffee house, grocery store, pharmacy, laundromat and boutique shops. Cookeville (20 minutes) has MANY other shopping, dining and tourist options. Or extend your stay and make a day trip to Nashville (1 hour), Knoxville (2 hours), Chattanooga (2 hours) or the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge areas (3 hours).
