The Country House, situated on the hill of Bargiano, is an integral part of an area of more than 10 hectares of unspoilt nature, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and wheat.

Summary: This is a very substantial property, surrounded by the most stunning scenery in the Umbrian hills. Importantly for us, it has a private pool which is large (18m) and deep. Walking in the surrounding area offer the most magnificent views. There is a large and very-well-equipped kitchen. In Fabro the local supermarket offers delicious local produce, fresh egg pasta, beautiful vegetables and herbs, good cheeses and an extensive choice of Umbrian and Italian wines. Near to the round-a-bout is a high quality butcher offering steaks, veal, lamb, free-range corn-fed chicken cut to order. The villa’s garden is delightful with olive trees, pines, large bushes of aromatic rosemary and lavender. We were looked after wonderfully by Luca and Raffaella, daughter of one of the owners, who were very friendly, considerate and helpful. They stayed in to clean, tend to the pool etc. We drove from Rome airport in under two hours. The villa is easy to find following directions from google maps. We had a problem with our hire car at one point and this was promptly and inexpensively fixed by the impressive local mechanic in Fabro who came out at an hour’s notice. Just two of us stayed in this very large property - and we had a wonderful time, relaxing by ourselves. However it would also be perfect for a large group. We hope to return.
