Ross is a beautiful historic town in the heart of Tasmania, a great place to base yourself while exploring the north and east of the state - only a max 90 mins drive to Launceston, Freycinet, Bicheno and Hobart. The gorgeous town of Oatlands is a 30 min drive south and has a gin distillery and conservation lake and Campbell Town is a 5 min drive north where you can find shops and eateries such as artisan gelato icecream , a sweet shop and IGA supermarket.
ross has one of the oldest sandstone bridges and a glorious church stands on top of the hill - well worth a photo or 2 Visit the wool centres museum and the womens factory and take a map of Ross and learn about all the stone homes in our flat easily walked streets.
