a beautiful traditional cottage in the tranquil village of new galloway, this is the ideal place to unwind and relax
the town has a vibrant arts and music culture based on the catstrand centre which is only fifty metres or so from the cottage The village shop, handily located only yards from the cottage is well stocked with everything you will need during your stay.
new galloway sits in the ken valley and has wonderful outlooks to the surrounding hills and forestry commission woodlands The area makes a superb base for holidays whether it be for exploring the woodlands to see wonderful wildlife or enjoying quiet peaceful walks or cycling.
golfers are spoilt for choice with the new galloway golf course only 200m or so from the house and numerous other courses within easy reach Water sports are also well catered for at Loch Ken which is within easy reach either for angling or sailing with the Galloway Activity Centre providing tuition and hire craft for all to enjoy at all levels of capability. the area was the first to be awarded dark skies park status, which due to the lack of light pollution enables the milky way and other constellations to be easily seen!

on the ground floor is the kitchen, lounge and bathroom all served by central heating, with a lovely open fireplace in the lounge Upstairs are two large bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with two singles. There are plenty of board games available to use (stored in the lounge coffee table) and BIKES stored externally for the guests use.
outside is a covered seating area, bbq, and parking space perfect for star gazing on a clear night!

Castle Douglas a 20min drive away, a small town that provides supermarkets / restaurants etc. Several local pubs and restaurants within a short drive or bike ride away.
