Wake up to sheepskins under your toes in this unique one level basement apartment, tucked away on 6 acres of an aspiring homestead in Moravian Falls, NC. Perfect for solo travelers or couples, this private space offers one bedroom, one bathroom, a gym, a living space, and a cozy kitchen, with access to shared outdoor spaces. The decor channels a quirky speakeasy vibe with vintage touches, moody lighting, and a welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for winding down after a day of exploring.
the apartment is located just 5-10 minutes from prayer mountain, blueberry farms and apple orchards We are about 50 minutes from Boone and the Blue Ridge Parkway, 25 minutes from wine tasting at the region's best wineries, 15 minutes from the swim beaches at Kerr Scott Reservoir, and 10 minutes from downtown Wilkesboro.
walking into the apartment you will be greeted by a beautiful bedroom featuring a queen bed with an organic nontoxic mattress and organic cotton bedding, a sitting area, a shoe drop station, and clothing storage options As you walk further into the apartment, you will reach the gym that offers a TV, treadmill, weights, and rowing machine. Off the gym is the bathroom, which is stocked with clean towels, paper products, and non-toxic toiletries. From the gym, you will walk into the moody living space with a seating area and a TV. From there, you'll reach the dining table and kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware essentials, an oven range, a toaster oven, refrigerator/freezer, dish soap, sponge, and dish drying rack for cleaning up after your home-cooked meals.
all linens for the bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen are laundered in fragrance free nontoxic detergent, and only nontoxic ingredients are used to clean the space between/before visitors did i mention we are health conscious?
please note that the apartment is located in the basement our family home, and while you’ll have your own private entrance and space, we live upstairs with our two young children and large dog abe You may hear the pitter-patter of little feet or big paws from 7am-9:30pm, but we promise it’s all part of the charm! We use ethernet instead of Wifi, so to connect to the internet, you can use one of the ethernet cords (and adapters provided) located in each room of the apartment. we will most likely be home and can assist with setup if necessary!
we have a large market garden should you wish to purchase any fresh organically grown produce during summer and fall months for your meals We also raise quail and may have extra eggs available.

we have a travel crib and crib mattress that can be used as a floor bed if you are traveling with a baby or toddler

we have young children, so you may hear some sounds from above We’re always mindful of noise and do our best to keep footsteps quiet.
we also have a large dog His name is Abe. He will bark, but he is friendly, a gentle giant. If you are worried about dogs, please let Austen know so that upon arrival he is not outside.
we do not use wifi, we use ethernet There are ethernet cables and adapters located in each room of the apartment for your use. Both smart TV's in the apartment are hooked up to the internet.
the home is located 1/10 of a mile off of a 2 lane highway There is some road noise outside, but it never bothers us. The driveway is gravel.
during humid months, we ask that the dehumidifiers in the apartment stay running to prevent mold growth You can turn off the bedroom one while sleeping.
there is no microwave in the kitchen There is a toaster oven instead. We hope that, along with the oven/range, meets your needs!.
