getting around:
everything is within walking distance from the unit Consider skipping the rent a car and Uber/Lyft to Mission Beach from San Diego International Airport which is less than 10 miles away and currently runs around $20 from/to the airport. Parking is difficult in Mission Beach especially during Spring Break and the Summer months (June-September).
if you are traveling by amtrak, get off at old town trolley station and look for the number 8 bus which goes toward pacific beach You will get off at Mission Blvd and Santa Clara Place. We are a few blocks from the bus stop and the trip is about 30 minutes each way. The daily bus pass is currently $5 and you must buy a card at the trolley station before boarding the bus to get the $5/day rate. If you don't have the card it is $7 a day for all busses and trolleys which go all over San Diego.
