welcome to blue mesa lodge 40b, an avantstay home!
the granddaddy of mountain village core lodging, the blue mesa lodge, and condos offer centrally located accommodations 40B is located in the building that sits on the east end of the plaza on the opposite end of the La Piazza restaurant. The front door is on the north end of the building.
enter the unit from the fourth-floor hallway (that has elevator access) Upon entering the unit, guests are welcomed into a large living space. The living room has a queen sofa sleeper, 26-inch flat-screen TV with a DVD player, and balcony with views of the plaza below and San Sofia Ridge beyond. There is a full kitchen with seating for up to four at the breakfast bar. A dining room table offers seating for six and access to the balcony. A bathroom with a walk-in shower is located on the main floor. Up the spiral stairs, you'll find an open loft-style sleeping area with a queen bed, a 15-inch TV with a DVD player, and a bathroom with a shower/tub combo. Please note that this loft does not have doors and is open to the living space below.

need more room? blue mesa 40b can be booked along with sister units 40a and 40c — all three spaces can be combined with adjoining doors for a true group-friendly stay!

Summary: I think this is the best located condo in the Blue Messa lodge building with the best view at the mountains and village base with Chondola. This unit is at the very top 4th floor and located right in the center of the floor. We loved the location and the view! 1 min walk out of the building to the Chondola and 1.5 min to the Village Express lift - very convenient, almost ski in/ski out. In proximity to all village stores and Free gondola as well. Our teenagers 16 and 13 yo were roaming at the village and Telluride all by themselves.Very good for family of four. Had almost everything needed for a week's stay.There are couple of things though I would improove - we had no spatula at all to cook with (borrowed it from neighboring family members). And the unit can be made so much more functional, utilizing loft and main area so much better - like more beds (vs sleeper sofa) to accommodate all the members of visiting families. There is so much space to make it much more interesting and functional. It is a big space but it feels small because there are so many tables and unneeded furniture.This is just a constructive criticism though. We still loved the place, and would come back again!!!
