This charming house was built in 1904 by a wealthy local family in the Arts & Crafts style (after Victorian but before Art Deco). I have kept the original features and updated the apartment to modern standards. There are beautiful stained glass windows, wood panelling and other original features.
there is a large hallway on entering the property, with plenty of room for golfing equipment Heading upstairs, you will come to three stained glass windows overlooking the gardens and leading the main hall. Here you'll find the entrances to the living and dining rooms, master and second bedroom, family bathroom and kitchen.
the living/dining room is very large and has windows overlooking the meadow There is comfortable seating for 7 around the fireplace and 8 at the dining room table.
the master bedroom has a four poster king size bed and a double sofa bed There's a comfortable seating area and original Arts & Crafts fireplace. This is a light room with 3 windows overlooking the garden, trees and mansion houses. This room has a large modern ensuite shower room with the original sink from 1904 still in place.
the second bedroom has a superking bed which converts to 2 single beds and also a single four poster bed with curtains and canopy
there is a family bathroom with full bath and wonderful original stained glass sunset window
the well equipped kitchen has everything needed for your stay including fridge, freezer, microwave, gas hob, electric oven, toaster and kettle
the house is child friendly and has a crib, travel cot, high chair, selection of games and children's books Other equipment is available on request.
the house is also pet friendly and you are welcome to bring your pets There are water and food bowls, dog towels and a dog bed provided. We may charge a small extra cleaning fee for pets.
lastly, there is a wonderful large garden with the property There are 3 seating areas with benches and a table and chairs for 8 people to eat outside. There is a barbecue area too..
