On almost every day of the week you'll find plenty of things to explore including farmers markets, craft fairs, food vendors, music festivals, art galleries (check out First Friday if you happen to be here on the first Friday of any summer month), restaurants, boutique shopping, local breweries and distilleries, and a thriving nightlife. On the North bank of the Clark Fork River is Caras Park which hosts many activities throughout the week. During "Out to lunch" on Wednesdays or "Downtown TonNight - Out to Dinner in Caras Park" on Thursday evenings, you can choose from dozens of local food vendors while listening to live music. On Saturday mornings Missoula's thriving farmers and craft markets will keep you entertained for hours. Also in Caras Park is Brennan's wave, a river surfing and kayaking feature where you'll find locals and adventure seekers from all over surfing the "wave", and you can also take your young one's on a ride on the famous Carousel for Missoula.
