Positive: Basic and met the needs of pilgrims.
Negative: There was no pool available! I was not notified in advance the pool was not yet open. It has been mid 30’s everyday walking and I chose this apartment for the pool. Laura-manager, who was for the most part helpful indicated I was confused about the pool. I Understand I am guest in this country and will simply explain the add and others can make informed choices. The name of the rental in Booking.com literally translates to ‘apartment with a pool’. On my actual booking confirmation, it lists one of the amenities as having an outdoor pool. There are 5 photos of the pool. I had no reason to believe there would be no pool. To complicate things I was never told the pool was closed and could not see it from the apartment. My son and I took the elevator to the parking level to access the pool deck. Once the door closed behind us we were locked in the pool area as the keys we had did not work and the only way out was to scale a series of fences to get to the apartment which fortunately was unlocked from the patio. Oh and the pool was empty. Very frustrating. I shared my concerns with Laura who indicated the pool was closed and that was the first it was mentioned. She sent me a screenshot from another site (I think) that said it was closed but it was not listed that way on the Booking.com confirmation/booking page. In fact if you check booking.com right now for tomorrow night June 2, it says you have access to an outdoor pool! I was told there was confusion. I wasn’t confused. Anyway, I didn’t bother asking for money back but thought I should share this experience. We would have just stayed in a more central hostal though IF I had known there was no pool.
