Positive: The lovely big house was situated 4 minutes drive from lively Sidari, or a 20 minute walk down the beach path into town, but was far enough away to allow us peace and quiet when we were home. The house was large, light and airy, and the balcony was perfect for sitting out for meals and with a glass of wine at night, for a peaceful wind-down after we returned from lively Sidari. The room was lovely and big, with absolutely everything anyone would need for eating, self care and sleeping,on a Greek Island holiday. Kettle, coffee maker, pots, pans, cutlery, proper hairdryer, everythingThe bedding and towels were replaced daily, and the room cleaned every day. The beds had new mattresses and were so comfortable, and the veranda doors had a pull down mosquito net. There was a lovely garden at the back, with a swimming pool and lawns, and lots of space to place the sunbeds in shady or sunny spots, with lots of space for privacy. There was an ample supply of books for reading, guide books in different languages, sun umbrellas and beach towels, to take out with you, which was great, as we were on a small luggage flight. There was a cosy bar for a nightcap, and a general feeling of homeliness and comfort. Everything was conducted smoothly and efficiently, and I would always go there again. Angelika was true to her name, an absolute angel. Despite the fact that we arrived very late at night, she was at the door to meet us, show us the main features and give us a drink to wind down on our balcony. She also ran us into town to shop, before we rented our own transport and found out which transport we needed to get to Corfu town on our last day, before running us to the bus station. She and her lovely Mum were always available for enquiries, advice or suggestions, and worked so hard every day. The whole family, Angelika, Mum and two sons, were so warm, friendly and cool-Greek, and the cat, Zak..... was a lovely ginger little madam, plus Cuore/Cory, a sweet outdoor cat.
Negative: Nothing, apart from the fact that the house is on a road, which is inevitable if you are using any form of transport and don't want to be a recluse, but it is well set back and there was minimal traffic noise.
Summary: This was the best home-from-home place I have ever stayed at, and the family are amazingly kind .
